To imagine the boat of future, the reflection must not be only entrusted to technicians or to specialists of the shipbuilding but it must be also opened to people inclined to the imagination, to the dream, to the utopia. It is necessary to confront the shipbuilding with the vision of users and persons a little more in the spirit of "Jules Verne", without forgetting, of course, to take into account the statutory aspects and the viability of the project.Platypus has been created in this vision, a company dedicated to the conception and the marketing of innovative machines for submarine operation & exploration of small depth.English translation of the duck-billed platypus, Platypus, first project in the course of the company, was designed by François-Alexandre Bertrand and his cabinet of innovation " L'Idéothèque " during a dive on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The idea of origin was to have an electric platform allowing to investigate sea bed and to transport easily the dive bottles from a site to the other one, by avoiding drag by swimming or to go back up aboard a pneumatic several times a day - a current way of diving.To develop and make the Platypus Craft project succeed, François Alexandre Bertrand surrounded himself with the best experts, Philippe Roulin and his cabinet PYD for the conception and the development of Platypus, Frederic Allain and Gaboriau with their shipyard Composite Prototype Solutions for the construction of the prototype, and Jerome Noris, France & Europe development director of GP Batteries for the supply of the electric and electronic elements but also all the engineering necessary for the specificities of Platypus.
